Wild West Steelhead based in NLucky Lake, SK is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Fish-processing plant worker. Wild West Steelhead is a fully integrated producer, controlling all stages of production, from egg incubation to finished, boneless fillets, ready for the consumer. Our state-of-the-art hatchery, superior growing environment and processing plant all combine to bring the consumer the highest quality product possible. Through extensive water quality monitoring and thorough environmental assessments over the years, the company has demonstrated its commitment to producing a safe and sustainable product. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $17.61 to $20.80 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: 211 1st Ave NLucky Lake, SK S0L 1Z0
Shifts: Day, Morning
Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated, Wet/damp

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should pay attention to detail and should stand for extended periods.
  • The candidate should be physically demanding and required to handle heavy loads.
  • The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis and should have hand-eye co-ordination.

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be someone who can be relied on and a good team player.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to cut, clean and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing and record production information.
