No of Vacancies: 2
Salary: $200.00 daily for 40 to 56 hours per week Minimum wage is guaranteed
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Halifax, NS On the road job
Transportation information: Own vehicle, travel expenses paid by employer, valid driver’s license, willing to travel regularly
Work setting: Various locations and Staff accommodation available

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of work experience: Fishing industry and Renewable resources
Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be prepared to work in or on water
  • The candidates should be accustomed to a fast-paced work environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be physically fit to meet demanding physical requirements

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent written communication skills
  • The candidates should exhibit sound judgment in their decision-making
  • The candidates should be organized in their approach to tasks
  • The candidates should be reliable in meeting job requirements

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist biologists and perform resources protection duties
  • The candidates should be able to check registrations and licenses of fishing vessels and inspect fishing gear and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to inspect fish catch for size and generate public awareness of fish and wildlife conservation and regulation
