Salary: $21.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 9015 14 Street Edmonton, AB T6P 0C9 & Langley, BC V3A 7N3
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime
Transportation information: Own transportation, own vehicle, willing to travel, willing to travel overnight, and valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations and construction site
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Roads and bridges
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification
Security and safety: Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and adaptable to dusty working conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to manage physically demanding responsibilities
- The candidates should be capable of handling weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills and be flexible in their approach to work
- The candidates should exhibit reliability in their performance and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
