Salary: $15.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Paradise, NL
Shifts: Day
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license and Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification, Traffic Control Signage (TWS) Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), and Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, performing repetitive tasks, and demonstrating manual dexterity, including handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and strong abilities as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transport construction materials
- The candidates should be able to direct traffic at or near construction sites
