Salary: $60,000 to $85,000 annually (To be negotiated) for 50 to 60 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Willing to travel cross-border
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trans-border documentation, Trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed
Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul, Short-haul
Credentials: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Security and safety: Valid passport, Driver’s validity licence check, and Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads as part of physically demanding tasks that may involve repetitive actions, and be able to manage weight handling responsibilities, including loads exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing situations and requirements, and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities efficiently
- The candidates should exhibit reliability, consistently delivering results and meeting commitments, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to maintain professionalism in customer service and arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations
- The candidates should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, load and unload goods, and oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of the vehicle, receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
- The candidates should be able to tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo, and transport and handle dangerous goods
