Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Rural area, and Hotel, motel, resort
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, capable of working under pressure, and prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, comfortable working in noisy conditions, and work in areas with various odors
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should maintain a strong focus on client satisfaction, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to work, show initiative in their tasks, and be highly organized
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms, balance cash, and record sales
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items, including daily specials, advise on menu selections, describe and advise on wine selection, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, take orders, and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
- The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and assist clients/guests with special needs while providing customer service
