Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Peace River, AB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend
Transportation information: Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Restaurant, Rural area, Remote location, Pub, and Microbrewery

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Own tools/equipment: Uniform

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be comfortable with physically demanding work
  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and handle heavy loads, including weights exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs) with care and precision
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on meeting client needs, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should display flexibility in adapting to various situations, show initiative in taking on tasks and problem-solving, and be organized in managing tasks and priorities
  • The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their responsibilities and be effective team players, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers and accept payment in various forms, and describe menu items including daily specials for customers
  • The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections, balance cash and record sales, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, and take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
  • The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs
