Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Point of sale system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to stand for extended periods, and able to work under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and demonstrate excellent oral communication
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility, show initiative, and be organized
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to address customers’ complaints or concerns, present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travelers cheques, or room billings, and describe menu items, including daily specials, for customers
- The candidates should be able to enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, advise on menu selections, and clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages, serve food and beverages, and take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff
- The candidates should be able to assist clients/guests with special needs and provide customer service
