Hacienda Cielito Lindo based in Kamloops, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Food and beverage server. Hacienda Cielito Lindo specializes in serving Mexican cuisine, known for its vibrant flavors, rich spices, and diverse culinary traditions. Our aim is to capture the essence of Mexican cuisine, culture, and hospitality, providing a memorable dining experience where customers can indulge in delicious flavors and enjoy the warmth and vibrancy of Mexican culture. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, organized, initiative, flexible, reliable
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables, present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, traveler’s cheques, or room billings
  • The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • The candidates should be able to advise on menu selections, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, describe and advise on wine selection
  • The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages, order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
  • The candidates should be able to perform sensory evaluation of wines, serve food and beverages, supervise other servers and bussing staff
  • The candidates should be able to take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, schedule staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, provide customer service
