Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, and willing to work overtime as required by job demands
  • The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, comfortable with repetitive tasks, and able to stand for extended periods as required by the nature of the work
  • The candidates should be capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and goals, showcasing a combination of adaptability, physical endurance, and efficiency
  • The candidates should be able to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • The candidates should be able to scour pots and pans, keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food
  • The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, take customers’ orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • The candidates should be able to wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in kitchen and dining area maintenance
