Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant and meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with various odors, including hot, cold/refrigerated, dusty, and wet/damp conditions
- The candidates should be adept at performing repetitive tasks with precision, demonstrating manual dexterity and strong hand-eye coordination skills
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, exhibit a high level of attention to detail, and be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should excel in a fast-paced work environment, handle heavy loads, and be physically fit to meet the demands of the job
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and be able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing work conditions
- The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and deadlines, as well as effective team players, fostering collaboration and teamwork
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills and transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, and remove filled containers from conveyors
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, feed and unload processing machines, and check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties and clean machines and immediate work areas
