Salary: $17.00 to $20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: 16 Fair Rd. Guelph, ON N1K 0A1
Shifts: Flexible Hours, 07:00 to 16:00
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification, Food Safety Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments as required by the job, perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency, possess manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment, and have good hand-eye coordination to perform tasks accurately
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during work shifts, demonstrate attention to detail ensuring precision in their tasks, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining productivity while adhering to deadlines
- The candidates should be able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of their duties
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be reliable
- The candidates should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety and handling skills, follow proper hygiene practices when handling food, understand and implement procedures for storing
- The candidates should be able to prepare, and serve food safely, recognize and mitigate potential hazards related to food handling, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation areas
- The candidates should be able to monitor and regulate food temperatures to prevent contamination, follow established protocols for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils, and adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines set by relevant authorities
