As a commissary, it plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and consistency of food preparation across all Osmow’s locations. Here, ingredients are sourced, stored, and prepared according to the highest standards, allowing for the creation of Osmow’s signature dishes with precision and quality. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend
Work setting: food and beverage plant, meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy, demonstrating manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed during their duties
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and maintaining focus under pressure
- The candidates should possess physical stamina and resilience to meet the demands of physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with varying odours.
- The candidates should be to be comfortable working in cold or refrigerated conditions as required by the job.

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
- The candidates should be able to empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly, ensuring proper waste management practices
- The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings thoroughly, contributing to the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the facility
- The candidates should be able to make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs promptly
- The candidates should be able to contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, ensuring that facilities remain in optimal condition
- The candidates should be able to perform minor repairs on appliances effectively, ensuring that equipment functions properly
- The candidates should be able to perform safety and security checks diligently, identifying and addressing potential hazards promptly
- The candidates should be able to supervise other workers efficiently, delegating tasks and ensuring that work is completed to standards
- The candidates should be able to move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies safely, minimizing the risk of injury or damage
- The candidates should be able to perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair skillfully, contributing to the upkeep of the facility
