Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with varying odours
- The candidates should be comfortable working in cold or refrigerated conditions as required by the job
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills effectively
- The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials safely and efficiently
- The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines accurately
- The candidates should be able to feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers as required
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent customer service during all interactions
- The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors promptly and carefully
- The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines according to operational needs
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects accurately
- They should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties effectively
- The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas thoroughly as part of regular maintenance and hygiene procedures
