Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be accustomed to a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and walk as part of their duties
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be dedicated to client focus
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication skills
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set tables
- The candidates should operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware and sanitize items like dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units
- The candidates should clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, replenish condiments and other supplies, and place dishes in the storage area
- The candidates should package take-out food, portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items for customers at counters or buffet tables
- The candidates should stock refrigerators and salad bars, take customers’ orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
- The candidates should sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, scour pots and pans, and keep records of the quantities of food used
- The candidates should clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
- The candidates should handle and store cleaning products, receive, unpack, and store supplies, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
- The candidates should sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
