Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, as well as clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a hygienic environment
- The candidates should be able to keep records of the quantities of food used, maintaining accurate inventory levels and facilitating efficient ordering processes, as well as receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, maintaining organization and cleanliness
- The candidates should be able to package take-out food, ensuring proper handling and presentation for customers, as well as portion and wrap foods, preparing them for storage or serving, and handle and store cleaning products safely, following proper procedures to prevent accidents or contamination
- The candidates should be able to prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, following recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency, as well as take customers’ orders, providing excellent customer service and ensuring accuracy in order preparation, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, preparing ingredients for cooking or serving
- The candidates should be able to use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs, adhering to safety protocols, as well as remove kitchen garbage and trash, ensuring proper disposal and cleanliness, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, keeping the kitchen area clean and safe
