Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed Secondary School
Experience: Candidates should have one year of experience in a high-volume food service operation, with knowledge of advanced food preparation
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work independently and in a team atmosphere, the ability to work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should be capable of providing efficient, courteous, and tactful service, be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stock items
Other Requirements:
The candidates should have (Grade 12 equivalent), possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to receive deliveries as required and ensure all food is properly placed in the assigned location
- The candidates should be able to check for appropriate due dates on boxes and inspect for quality, accuracy, or damage
- The candidates should be able to ensure items are safely stored using the FIFO method of product rotation
- The candidates should be able to ensure Walk-in coolers are kept according to Public Health standards and all food is stored safely
- The candidates should be able to ensure all fresh food storage containers are kept clean and sanitized daily
- The candidates should be able to work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain/revise established stock par levels, participate in monthly inventory counts
