Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of standing constantly, walking frequently, and occasionally bending while lifting packaged meats weighing up to 25 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers
- The candidates should demonstrate basic reading skills, including the ability to understand daily instruction sheets regarding products to be prepared
- The candidates should be knowledgeable about operating packaging machines, especially for machine operators
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform the preparation, assembly, packaging, and sanitation duties to produce food service and related products within the store
- The candidates should be able to assemble food service items as per standard recipes, portions, and format while maintaining a specified productivity level
- The candidates should be able to slice and weigh meat and cheese products
- The candidates should be able to package and label prepared products and display finished goods for sale
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize all equipment and fixture surfaces as per provincial and company/health safety standards
- The candidates should be able to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and follow standard company and provincial regulations pertaining to food safety, dress code, and sanitary procedures
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
