Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high School degree or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to have the ability to travel to multiple worksite locations.
- The candidates should be able to have Journeyman to Red Seal certification, considered an asset.
- The candidates should be able to have experience in concrete finishing, sacking, and pouring, considered an asset.
- The candidates should be able to have experience preferably with formwork and on commercial or industrial projects.
- The candidates should be able to be a team player and safety-oriented.
- The candidates should be able to communicate well with others and to their superiors.
- The candidates should be able to have CSTS-09 and other safety certificates, considered assets
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform Heavy Civil – Industrial, Infrastructure, and Roadwork Construction
- The candidates should be able to form, strip, and place Lafarge Ready-Mix Concrete
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, and assemble in accordance with the specifications provided
- The candidates should be able to have the ability to read and interpret blueprints needed for concrete forms
- The candidates should be able to assist other carpenters with the assembly of framework
- The candidates should be able to prepare layouts of forms from drawings that are provided
