Salary: $28.85 hourly 30 to 40 hours per week

Work setting: Construction

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working at heights as necessary
  • The candidates should be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate good judgment in decision-making and be reliable, consistently meeting their commitments
  • The candidates should be team players, able to collaborate effectively with others, and punctual, arriving on time for scheduled shifts or meetings

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs and read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
  • The candidates should be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and others, and build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • The candidates should be able to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware, schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations and levels, supervise other workers, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various establishments
