Salary: $15.00 hourly for 40 to 66 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Kentville, NS
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, Morning, 07:00 to 18:30
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Staff accommodation provided, Rural area
Type of crops: Apples
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to work at heights and in wet/damp conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments, showcasing versatility in various agricultural settings
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be highly organized and effective team players, emphasizing a well-rounded skill set
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hoe crops, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to perform stone and/or wood picking, fertilize and spray crops, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market as part of their responsibilities
