Salary: $16.95 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week

Location: Grand Forks, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Work setting: Rural area
Type of crops: Apples, Bell peppers, Cherries, Cucumbers, Field berries, Garlic, Grapes, Melons, Onions, Seed corn, Strawberries, Sweet corn, and Tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty environments and hot conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated environments
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks and capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods as necessary, bend, crouch, and kneel as required, and be comfortable with walking as part of their job duties
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and willing to work overtime when necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations and exhibit sound judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in their tasks and responsibilities, and be team players capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops and grade produce
- The candidates should be able to train fruit trees and lower plants
- The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to sucker and tie plants
- The candidates should be able to weed fields, harvest crops, and examine produce for quality, preparing it for the market
