Salary: $18.00 to $21.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 32 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Souris, PE
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Own transportation
Type of crops: Potatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Forklift, Tractor, and Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and able to work in wet or damp conditions.
- The candidates should tolerate dusty environments and be able to work in hot conditions.
- The candidates should be willing to work in dirty conditions
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure and able to handle heavy loads as part of their duties
- The candidates should be physically fit to perform demanding tasks, comfortable standing for extended periods, and able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required for the job
- The candidates should also be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and work effectively as part of a team, promoting collaboration and teamwork
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform grading tasks, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and clean the work area
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops, load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry, as well as operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
