Type of crops: Blueberries, Cabbage, Cauliflowers, Cucumbers, and Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, even in wet/damp, dusty, and hot conditions
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, as well as bending, crouching, kneeling, and sitting
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, hand-harvest vegetables, and harvest seedlings
- The candidates should be proficient in planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops, performing weeding, and cleaning work areas
- The candidates should be capable of fertilizing and spraying crops, sorting and packing fruits and vegetables, and harvesting crops
- The candidates should be skilled in operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment, detecting disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry, and examining produce for quality and market preparation
