Salary: $14.50 to $15.50 hourly (to be negotiated) 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Clarenville, NL
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination, and do sound discrimination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in odours, outdoors, dusty and hot area, wet/damp and cold/refrigerated area, and other miscellaneous crop farming
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, flexible, and judgmental
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to do grading, and handling animals
- The candidates should be able to do monitoring animal health
- The candidates should be able to feed and tend animals, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry, set and monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns, pens and chicken coops
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
