Van Klei Farms Ltd. is a family-owned company, owned by Mark and Christa Van Klei. The company works on a family-run blueberry farm nestled in beautiful Chilliwack, BC. In 2007, the company was started by the family as a blueberry adventure by preparing its first 10-acre field, digging the holes and planting the blueberry plants. Since then the farm has expanded to over 45 acres of blueberries. The family has also expanded and its love of blueberries has been passed down to three children who are always excited to go to the fields and try to find the biggest blueberry.
As of now, Van Klei Farms Ltd. is inviting applications for the role of General Farm Worker from any of the eligible candidates who reside in Canada. The candidates who have a valid work permit in Canada should start applying for this LMIA approved job right away.

Salary: $15.20 hourly, for 40 hours per week.

Requirements:
Languages: English
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma or equivalent experience is required.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to clean and maintain equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidate should be able to perform general farm duties
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidate should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
- The candidate should be able to harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to grade products
- The candidate should be able to cut weeds and undergrowth
- The candidate needs to have farm supervisors skills such as ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
