Salary: $17.40 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Kelowna, BC
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently when necessary and be capable of efficiently performing repetitive tasks
- The candidates should exhibit attention to detail in their work and be able to stand for extended periods as required
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks when necessary and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking tasks
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to deleaf, clean greenhouses, and hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings, pick row and orchard crops, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to cut seeds, operate a vertical farming system, and fertilize and spray crops
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables, harvest crops, and examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market
