Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as grade 12 or GED
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a physically demanding position
- The candidate should have the ability to lift approximately 25 lbs. on a continuous basis
Other Requirements:
- The candidate must be able to work on a shift rotational basis
- The candidate must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis and also have knowledge of computer operations as an asset
- The candidate should have the ability to work with minimal supervision
- The candidate should have the ability to learn and function within different jobs in the plant and also have the ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly
- The candidate must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly and also have the ability to accept and embrace change in the day-to-day operations
- The candidate should be able to successfully complete a 90-day training period
- The candidate must be capable of making minor adjustments to machines to improve Dessert quality Documentation of ingredient codes, ingredient temperatures, and tracking of the finished product
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to follow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in the STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
- The candidate should be able to interpret mixing formulas – Weighing, Mixing, and blending of ingredients to the recipe and also perform duties such as Cleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area; daily housekeeping report of the area
- The candidate should be responsible for the identification and reporting of product quality issues.
- The candidate should be responsible for following all safety requirements and also operate all of the equipment associated with the job assigned to
- The candidate should be responsible for timing out ingredients to ensure shift completion or changeover and also be responsible for following change-over policy and requirements
- The candidate should be responsible for some sanitation duties and also perform some other tasks such as Troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining equipment as required.
- The candidate must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices’ (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s) and also ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.
- The candidate should be able to relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource) and also perform all additional duties as they become assigned.
