Our company is the world’s largest manufacturer of frozen potato products. We are well-known for our French fries and specialty potato products. Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as high school, and be a Community College or University Student (Must be 18 years old or older)
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to take care of material handling of 25 kg boxes and bags
Other Requirements:
- The candidate must be able to follow “Good Manufacturing Practices’ ‘ (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s) and follow Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s), LockOut and TagOut (LOTO) procedures and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
- The candidate having basic computer skills an asset and have the ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
- The candidate should be a team player with excellent attendance and must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
- The candidate should be highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude and have good verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs and be willing to work shift work; nights and weekends.
- The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and must possess a good safety record and demonstrate “safety first’’ on a continual basis.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be responsible for following all safety requirements
- The candidate should be responsible for following production line changeover policy and requirements and also be responsible for some sanitation and housekeeping duties
- The candidate should be able to perform duties such as troubleshooting, adjusting and maintaining equipment as required
- The candidate should be able to deal with operational and maintenance issues, working in a fast-paced team environment and participate in Team meetings, as required.
- The candidate should be able to complete core curriculum E-learning courses and perform all additional duties as they become assigned.
