Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a college diploma (DSC) in electronics technology (audiovisual, telecommunications, or computer systems option)
Experience: Candidates should have at least five (5) years of experience, given the multidisciplinary environment and variety of equipment
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform all duties associated with maintaining production and broadcasting systems/equipment, including function-testing, configuring, installing, inspecting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing
- The candidate should be able to take responsibility, as a contributor, for the technical aspects of the work performed by technicians, coordinate and review the work of other technicians and provide them with advice
- The candidate should be able to solve underlying or intermittent problems to ensure smooth program production and broadcast, run tests and make complex adjustments to improve the performance of technical facilities
- The candidate should be able to design, modify, and manufacture parts, equipment, and tools using various techniques, including mechanics, machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- The candidate should be able to adjust, operate, and maintain machining, welding, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment to modify and manufacture parts, tools, and equipment
- The candidate should be able to source parts and technical materials, contact vendors for information, and share relevant details with concerned parties, ensure plans, diagrams, and procedures are updated and produce diagrams or sketches
- The candidate should be able to maintain their skills to perform assigned duties effectively and stay current with technological developments, carry out preventive maintenance and help develop methods and processes for better equipment use and easier maintenance
- The candidate should be able to advise others on the installation, commissioning, and use of production and broadcasting equipment and systems
