Salary: $163,812 to $177,333 annually (To be negotiated) 75 hours bi-weekly

Location: Old Perlican, NL
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural community health centres, Hospital (staff position), Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Specialization in family practice: Emergency medicine
Credentials: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle large workload, and large caseload
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures
- The candidates should be able to prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- The candidates should be able to consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health
- The candidates should be able to co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
- The candidates should be able to provide acute care management
