Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Construction, Renovation, Residential
Supervision: Carpenters, 3-4 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and maintain a high level of organization
- The candidates should be known for their dependability and be recognized for their reliability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrate flexibility in their work, show initiative in their tasks and responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment in decision-making. Additionally, they should be collaborative team players
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be accustomed to noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to work effectively under pressure
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare production and other reports, supervise workers and projects, and coordinate and schedule activities
- The candidates should be able to prepare bids, estimate costs and materials, and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- The candidates should be able to select trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities, including performing construction site supervision
- The candidates should be able to establish methods to meet work schedules and requisition materials and supplies
- The candidates should be able to resolve work problems while recommending measures to improve productivity
