Salary: $16.72 hourly for 45 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 165 Tankbark Road Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON L0S 1P0
Shifts: Day, Weekend
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, own transportation. Public transportation is not available
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Bedding plants, seasonal plants
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights when necessary and capable of working in confined spaces as required
- The candidates should be able to work in wet or damp environments, in hot conditions as needed, and in cold or refrigerated environments when necessary
- The candidates should adhere to a non-smoking policy while at work
- The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for repetitive tasks as part of their responsibilities
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads as required and be physically fit to handle demanding tasks, comfortable standing for extended periods during work, and capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in all assigned tasks and possess good hand-eye coordination for precise tasks

- The candidates should demonstrate reliability in fulfilling their duties and commitments
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant bulbs and seeds, pot and re-pot plants, and transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings
- The candidates should be able to report signs of insect or disease damage and clean the work area
