Compassionate Grief Centre is a heartfelt institution dedicated to providing support and counseling for individuals navigating the challenging journey of grief. Specializing in compassionate and personalized grief services, the center offers a safe space for individuals to express and process their emotions. With a team of empathetic professionals, Compassionate Grief Centre focuses on tailored counseling and support groups, guiding individuals through the healing process. Job Description:

Salary: $30.00 to $40.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 10 to 15 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Part time
Location: 55 Drury Cove Rd Saint John, NB E2H 2Z8
Shifts: Flexible Hours
Work setting: Community service organization, counselling centres, relocation costs not covered by employer, social service or charity agency, non-governmental organization or association, clinic, and mental health institution, facility, or clinic
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office
Credentials: Membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, certification with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association
Security and safety: Criminal record check

- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent written communication
- The candidates should display flexibility and demonstrate interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should exercise judgment and exhibit reliability
- The candidates should function as a team player and demonstrate excellent oral communication
- The candidates should uphold values and ethics and ensure accuracy
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to counsel clients, provide therapy and mediation services, and facilitate group sessions
- The candidates should be able to follow up on the results of counseling programs and clients’ adjustment, maintain accurate records, and provide public education and consultation to other professionals or groups regarding counseling services, issues, and methods
- The candidates should be able to counsel individuals and groups to achieve more effective personal, social, and vocational development and adjustment, and apply psychological theory and principles regarding behavior and mental processes
