Requirements:

Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be at least 16 years old
- The candidates should be able to lift and carry heavy bags and boxes, often up to 50 pounds or more
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should greet and assist customers in finding products and providing product information
- The candidates should be capable of stocking shelves and displays with fresh and packaged grocery items
- The candidates should be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the grocery department
- The candidates should be able to operate cash registers, handle financial transactions, and provide change to customers
- The candidates should monitor and rotate perishable items to ensure product freshness and minimize waste
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to zone the department
- The candidates should be able to rotate stock and check for expired products
- The candidates should be able to ensure that the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- The candidates should be able to adhere to food safety and handling procedures and follow sanitation and cleaning procedures
- The candidates should be able to follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
- The candidates should be able to ensure that the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business
- The candidates should be able to follow Health and Safety guidelines
- The candidates should be able to stock merchandise/pick and downstock if applicable. They should also apply product protection when required and set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps
- The candidates should be able to greet and assist customers in finding products and providing product information
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and displays with fresh and packaged grocery items
- The candidates should be able to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the grocery department
