Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning, 09:00 to 21:00
Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be capable of working under pressure, and be able to meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and able to manage physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to walk as required, bend, crouch, and kneel as needed, and be capable of handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should have excellent written communication skills, exhibit flexibility, and be organized
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bag, box, or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery, and carry customers’ purchases to the parking lot and pack orders in customers’ vehicles
- The candidates should be able to obtain articles for customers from the shelf or stockroom, direct customers to the location of articles sought, and unpack products received by the store
- The candidates should be able to count, weigh, or sort items, order stock, and record incoming stock
- The candidates should be able to stock shelves and display areas, keep stock clean and in order, and price items using stamps or stickers according to the price list
- The candidates should be able to attach protective devices to products to protect against shoplifting and perform general cleaning duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping floors)
- The candidates should be able to operate an electric pallet jack, operate a forklift, and provide customer service
