Salary: $25.00 to $29.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time – On the road job
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, own transportation, own vehicle, and vehicle supplied by employer
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance, design, and landscape construction
Equipment and machinery experience: Chain saw, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, sod cutter, and tractor mower
Specialization or experience: Green economy sector, and specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check, driver’s validity licence check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks, possess manual dexterity for performing various tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail in their work
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors if required, be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking tasks, and be proficient in bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction and possess excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should show initiative in taking proactive steps to achieve goals and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be team players, fostering collaboration and cooperation
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hire, supervise, and schedule staff, plan and direct grounds maintenance, and organize and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns
- The candidates should be able to plan and estimate labor and materials, organize and direct the construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls, and plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work
- The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, tender and administer contracts, and establish work schedules and procedures
- The candidates should be able to repair and maintain equipment, requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies, and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
