Location: 22 rue Côté, Grand Falls, NB E3Y 1C4
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On Call
Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged, Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the Bilingual Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Student status: Full-time enrollment
Credentials: CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, dependable, initiative, flexible, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, interpersonal awareness, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to resolve conflict situations, housekeeping activities
  • The candidates should be able to administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, transport patients in wheelchairs or stretchers
  • The candidates should be able to serve meal trays and feed patients, make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, collect specimens
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress and groom patients, answer call signals, supply, and empty bed pans, weigh, lift, turn and position patients
  • The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations
  • The candidates should be able to assist with the set-up and maintenance of traction equipment, cleaning or sterilizing equipment, maintaining and repairing equipment, and assembling, setting-up and operating job-related equipment
  • The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
