Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift and On Call
Work setting: Airport, apartment/condominium complex, bar, bus station, construction site, courthouse, financial institution, government department and/or agency, high-tech company, hospital/medical facility or clinic, hotel, motel, resort, industrial facility or establishment, museum, private security agency, public event, railway company/yard, recreational or cultural centre, retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre, school or educational institution/establishment, shopping centre or mall and transportation facility
Security and safety: Basic security clearance required and criminal record should checked
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles), Use of force training, BST1 and BST2 course certificate, First Aid Certificate, Provincial/Territorial Security Officer Certificate, Security Guard License and Security Guard basic (pre-assignment) training program certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, pay attention to detail, sit, walk and also stand for extended periods
- The candidate should be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and also have efficient interpersonal skills and an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should have experience of corporate building security, mobile surveillance/stakeouts, mystery shopping, preparation of information (evidence) reports and retail loss prevention
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to produce reports and also enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities
- The candidate should be able to check age identification of patrons, perform security checks of passengers and luggage and also prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments
- The candidate should be able to operate security control room equipment and also patrol assigned areas
