DTM Safety & Security based in Kentville, NS is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Guard, security. DTM Safety & Security was founded in 2020 and currently employs over 75 employees as Security Guards and/or Safety Sitters. We currently have over 50 clients that utilize our services. Our coverage area is Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, with capabilities to expand where we are needed. We use advanced technologies and take an innovative approach to help build a sustainable energy future. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $14.00 to $14.25 hourly for 30 to 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent employment
Location: Kentville, NS
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime and Morning
Work setting: Various locations
Security and safety: Adult Abuse Registry should checked, basic security clearance required, bond required, Child Abuse Registry checked and criminal record should checked
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation required, own vehicle required and valid driver’s licence required
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have cellular phone
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail and also be a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to produce reports, enforce regulations to maintain order and resolve conflicts and to monitor establishment activities and also prevent and detect shoplifting and theft in retail establishments
- The candidate should be able to check age identification of patrons and also patrol assigned areas
