Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need Other trades certificate or diploma
or equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Hair styling techniques: Blow drying, Hair braiding, Iron waving/curling, Permanents, Extensions, Twisting, Locking, Relaxing, Spiking, Pin curls and Roller setting
Hair colouring techniques: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Frosting and Streaking/highlights
Credentials: Hairstylist Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work effectively in noisy environments and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should have experience and efficiency in handling repetitive tasks, possess manual dexterity for precise task execution, and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
- The candidates should have strong hand-eye coordination and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods during work
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong focus on client satisfaction, be dependable in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, and possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication abilities, demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various tasks and situations, and exercise good judgment in decision-making

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to book appointments, analyze hair and scalp condition, and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for the scalp and hair
- The candidates should be able to cut and trim hair according to the client’s instructions or preferences, shampoo customers’ hair, and apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair
- The candidates should be able to provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, tinting, and also provide scalp conditioning massages, apply hair extensions, and clean and style wigs and hairpieces
- The candidates should be able to cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair, suggest a hairstyle compatible with the client’s physical features, or determine the style from the client’s instructions and preferences
- The candidates should be able to perform receptionist duties, maintain and order supplies
