Salary: $15.30 to $16.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning, 09:00 to 21:00
Work setting: Produce department, Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Food specialties: Vegetables, fruits, nuts and mushrooms
Product inspection experience: Fresh produce
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of working under pressure, and adept at meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be accustomed to repetitive tasks, able to handle heavy loads, and prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have attention to detail, be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to engage in regular walking activities, capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed, and able to work in air-conditioned environments
- The candidates should also be able to work in cold or refrigerated conditions and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong client focus and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication, exhibit flexibility, and be organized
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bag, box, or parcel purchases for customers, obtain articles from the shelf or stockroom, and unpack products received by the store
- The candidates should be able to record incoming stock, stock shelves and display areas, and keep stock clean and in order
- The candidates should be able to perform general cleaning duties, provide customer service, wrap goods, and sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products
- The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, wrap or place merchandise in bags, and weigh produce and bulk foods
