Farmers Fresh Mushrooms based in Abbotsford, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Harvesting labourer. Farmers Fresh Mushrooms is owned by Tan Truong and his wife Hue Huynh both hands on mushroom growers. On our last Primus audit we received a GOLD standing at our largest mushroom farm. Our dedicated staff will bring enjoyment to customers and the continued success of the company. We believe that our staff is one of the key components to making this happen. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $15.65 hourly for 30 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation is available
Work site environment: Candidates should work in wet/damp, odours and dusty area
Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided.
Type of crops: Mushrooms
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, manually dexter, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling and large workload
- The candidate should be physically strong
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment and also have values and ethics
- The candidate should be reliable and also a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to clean crop and also pick row and orchard crops
- The candidate should be able to hand harvest vegetables and also sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidate should be able to write daily basic progress reports and also load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock and poultry
- The candidate should be able to clean work area
