Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Vegetable harvester, Fruit harvester
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to do other miscellaneous crop farming
- The candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and efficiently perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be physically capable of handling heavy loads and prepared for physically demanding work
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of their job requirements.
- The candidates should possess effective hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, in wet/damp area, odours, and dusty area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand-harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
