Salary: $15.30 to $19.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Beaconia, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, Own transportation, and Public transportation is not available
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Turf grass harvester, Forklift, Loader, Tractor, and Sod cutter.
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in wet/damp, dusty, and hot conditions
  • The candidates should have experience in harvesting crops within a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be adept at managing repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and performing physically demanding activities
  • The candidates should possess manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling
  • The candidates should be accustomed to handling a large workload and working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be capable of walking and handling loads weighing up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to various situations
  • The candidates should be reliable in their responsibilities and be a team player
  • The candidates should uphold values and ethics in their professional conduct and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should be a quick learner

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
