Position: Head custodian – cleaning services

Salary: $18.00 to $28.85 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Vancouver, BC
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Office building, cleaning service company, commercial facility, hospital/medical facility or clinic, hotel, motel, resort, and school or educational institution/establishment
Supervision: 5-10 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and adaptable to wet/damp working conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy environments and be tolerant of various odors
- The candidates should be adaptable to dusty working conditions while also being comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing tasks and responsibilities, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and physically demanding work, possessing manual dexterity for tasks that require precision
- The candidates should be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as needed, including bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of their job requirements
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client-focused, demonstrating a strong commitment to understanding and meeting client needs, and equipped with efficient interpersonal skills for positive communication
- The candidates should be dependable, ensuring a consistent and reliable presence in fulfilling assigned responsibilities, and adept in excellent oral communication, conveying ideas clearly and persuasively
- The candidates should be proficient in excellent written communication, producing accurate and articulate written content, and flexible, adapting easily to changes in tasks, priorities, or work environments
- The candidates should be proactive in taking initiative, demonstrating a willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities, and reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work within established timelines
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate activities of workers, assisting cleaners in performing duties
- The candidates should be able to inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards, recommending or arranging for additional maintenance services
- The candidates should be able to establish work schedules efficiently
