Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 1530 Duthie Avenue Burnaby, BC V5A 2R6
Shifts: Day, Evening, Overtime

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively in their work
  • The candidates should be capable of managing repetitive tasks and handling physically demanding work
  • The candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize client focus in their work approach and exhibit dependability in completing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should be flexible in adapting to changing circumstances and show initiative in problem-solving and taking on new challenges
  • The candidates should have interpersonal awareness and be sensitive to the needs of others, exercise good judgment in decision-making situations, and be organized in managing their tasks and responsibilities
  • The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties and work effectively as part of a team

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supply and empty bed pans, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, and deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
  • The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines, administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas, bathe, dress, and groom patients, transport patients between care facilities, and transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher
  • The candidates should be able to answer call signals, accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, and administer first aid in emergency situations
