Position: Heavy-duty equipment mechanic
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $18.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 50 to 70 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Evening, Weekend, 07:00 to 17:00
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, diagnose faults using computerized and other testing equipment, and adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- The candidates should be able to keep maintenance reports and documentation, test repaired equipment for proper performance, and ensure work meets manufacturers’ specifications
- The candidates should be able to clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work, perform repair work on heavy trucks, service attachments and working tools, verify and repair emission control systems, and perform other routine maintenance
