Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 2-3 years
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks), Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation Knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Roll-off truck, Dump truck, Tractor-trailer
Communication Systems Experience:
Citizens band (CB) radio
Transportation/travel Experience: Local
Security and Safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Own Tools/Equipment: Cellular phone, Hard hat, Steel-toed safety boots
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have professionalism in customer services
- The candidate should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- The candidate should be able to oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- The candidate should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs
- The candidate should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- The candidate should be able to perform tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- The candidate should be able to work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities
