Position: Helper – garbage collection

Salary: $16.00 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Truro, NS
Shifts: Early Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and have the physical endurance for tasks that are physically demanding
- The candidates should be capable of efficiently handling repetitive tasks, work in dusty conditions, and work in noisy environments
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong client focus in their interactions
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
- The candidates should be a team player, fostering collaboration within the team
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to collect and load refuse on garbage trucks
